DESTRUCTION COMES! MARANATHA! AMEN!
Greetings! You are one of the privileged living in a time as crucial as ours. It is highly probable that our generation will be the ones to experience the apocalypse – Armageddon. The end of the world. First and foremost, let us state that this is not propaganda. This is not politics. This is not violent overthrow, fashion or revolution. We are merely here as a public service.
For the last forty years, rock and roll has been ushering in the end of the world. A soundtrack if you will for the end of the age. Those of the fundamentalist persuasion argue rock and roll is perverting the culture, when in fact it merely mirrors culture. It interprets the times. For this reason, through the medium of rock and roll and the more extreme forms therein, we are semiotations of our day.
Whether the individual views rock and roll as a utilitarian means of spreading chaos and control through the evil doings of the devil, or whether the fundamentalist is perverting it through the proclamation of virtue is of no consequence. It is a tool used against all culture regardless of personal confession of faith in whatever form(s) for the inevitable end of history.
Interpreting this as revolution also is without merit. The presupposition of revolution being that there is a greater, more just and or fair system of politics a better social program, or supremacy etc., when in fact all these systems are manmade, void of truth and unable to provide peace and or safety for the citizens. Therefore, JUDGEMENT COMES. AMEN!
It is our duty to proclaim to the citizens a prophetic foreshadowing of the inevitable death of the great whore of Babylon. AMEN! In the words of our most beloved Dr. Edward Daniel Taylor
“She wears her gold and pears and sits upon the water, every boy and girl is drinking her elixir. There’s fear now in her eyes, I guess she knows what’s coming. They said she once was wise, so beautiful so cunning.”
This proclamation comes as a double edged sword, cutting through the vein conceits of human kind. Nothing can change this. Nothing. AMEN! For the unbeliever, the gospel of the inevitable destruction is mere foolishness. For the believer however, it is essential. In order to save the world, it must first be destroyed.

When I first heard Mercury, I had a hard time getting past the change in sound. Then I saw the band in '98 near Chicago at a reunion show, and everything made sense. After that show, Mercury became one of my favorite records of all time. HUMB shows what Mercury was intended to be, and it's raw, aggressively mixed, without the "arena" feel that Mercury has. The record sounds ahead of its time, honestly, and is a must-own for any TPC fan. A rare definitive statement from a groundbreaking band. djzachlorton

The summer of ‘97 I was about to leave where I had lived my entire life and go 14+ hours away. That summer I found California. I bought it because Eric and Wayne were a part of Starflyer’s Americana album. From the first, “Thank you! Lassie Foundation” introduction I was in. This was the soundtrack to that time of my life. Loud music with soft singing w lyrics that were both hopeful+ realistic. It is still one of my fav albums ever and I love that I can have it on vinyl. Thanks guys. Seth Davison
